Projects

Research

We study the ecology and survival strategies of animal species that inhabit both natural environments and those modified by people. In doing so, we generate scientific information that supports decision-making and the development of policies and strategies for coexistence between wildlife and people. We also provide advice and training to local communities and environmental authorities on these issues, and support dialogue processes aimed at finding ways to foster coexistence between wildlife and people.

Restoration

We carry out ecological restoration actions in Los Ríos Region (Chile), which include site assessment and advice to landowners, the removal of invasive plants, the planting of native species suited to local conditions, and the monitoring of plant growth and survival, as well as the fauna that uses restoration areas.

Outreach

We use a range of platforms—written, graphic, audiovisual and digital—to communicate the environmental issues we address, as well as the progress and outcomes of our initiatives, with the aim of bringing our work closer to the public and encouraging their participation. We also publish technical and scientific reports, promote research projects with schools, and take part in scientific and environmental fairs to engage different sectors of society in discussions on nature conservation.
